I am honored and extremely excited to be head coach at A. Crawford Mosley High School and since January I have been taking these players and this program in a new direction. We are doing things in a purposeful, thoughtful way that is instilling in the players the mindset to embrace hard work and competition. That will be our identity. We will be known as the team that is disciplined, outworks everyone else, and is always in a position to win. Those wins are not guaranteed, but the only way for us to have the best chance at success is to be willing to work hard every day.
That discipline and hard work includes off the field. We preach every day to the players to understand the value of making good decisions; doing the right things; and being a good person. Those players that are accountable to themselves are the ones that perform on the field. It’s not by chance that a well-disciplined athlete that takes his responsibilities in the classroom and in the community seriously, do well on the field. Those of the characteristics I expect in myself, my coaching staff, and each player that represents A. Crawford Mosley Dolphins.
I have been deeply humbled and very excited by the amount of support I, my wife, Kristen, and our two boys, have received since being named head coach. I can’t so thank you enough to the alumni, local businesses and organizations, school staff, and player families who have stepped up and offered support in so many ways. Keep it coming! By doing the little things right every day, we will take this football program where it deserves to be. With the support of our fans, we will return to the prominence of being a district powerhouse. I will settle for nothing else.
